my bearded dragon turned orange

Well I went downstairs and my little bearded dragon was orange so I tapped gently on the glass and he did not respond like he does, what does this mean?

He might have recently shed his skin, in which case his color would appear brighter. He probably had a muted grey like orange color before the shed.
